Public Health Inspector/Sanitarian/Certified Food Inspector Contracted Hours To conduct a wide variety of duties associated with local enforcement of the CT Public Health Code and other applicable local, state and federal regulations.
Perform food service inspection, sewage disposal reviews/inspections, complaint investigation and reporting and other local public health work. Bachelor's Degree in environmental health, public health, or related field required. Must possess food service inspector and/or septic system inspection Phase I Certification. Applicants certified in Phase II septic system plan reviews/inspections and who possess a Registered Sanitarian Certification desired. Must possess valid CT motor vehicle license. CT DPH certification as a Food Establishment Inspector required, or ability to obtain certification in one year. Must understand the laws and regulations governing the enforcement of environmental health codes.
Contracted Hours 5 to 14 hours per week with flexible hours.
Hourly wages - $28.00 - $32.00 Position open until filled.
