Full-time openings available for a web press trainees and operators on the night shift. You must have an aptitude for mechanical work, as shown by work experience in other fields such as auto mechanics or training at a vocation-technical high school. Applicants must have a high school diploma or equivalent and must be 18 years old or older. In the New England Newspapers training program you will learn all aspects of commercial web printing on a Goss Urbanite and Community presses, as well as plate making equipment. Compensation is increased as experience is gained and competence is demonstrated. The goal of the program is to develop full press operator skills during a two to four year training period. Full time employees receive benefits package that includes health, dental, vision, life insurance, and 401(k). A drug screen is required.
