Regional Planner

Stark County Regional Planning Commission is accepting applications for the full-time position of Regional Planner. The successful candidate will prepare technical components of major work elements of comprehensive planning and planning administration programs, including the following: land use planning and analysis, environmental planning, housing and economic data analysis. Complete planning research and analysis for various comprehensive planning projects. Review and prepare recommendations regarding proposed zoning amendments and compliance of new subdivisions and developments with applicable subdivision regulations and state law. A working knowledge of GIS and computer applications required.

Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in a planning-related field in urban/regional planning. A minimum of two (2) years professional planning experience required or equivalent combination of education and experience. Salary Range: $30,000-$40,000.
