Special Circumstance Substitute Teachers needed in The Event of a Teacher Strike in Rocklin Unified School District
Rocklin Unified School District (RUSD) and Rocklin Teachers Professional Association (RTPA) have been engaged in collective bargaining for more than a year without resolution. RTPA recently indicated a "strike is on the table." To ensure that schools be kept open in Rocklin Unified and students continue to be educated, it is necessary for us to recruit and hire additional substitute teachers should such an event occur. Application Deadline: Open Until Filled Daily Rate of Pay: $425 per day Description of Work: Substitute Teachers for Grades Pre-K to Grade 12.
Minimum Qualifications for Applying Applicants must hold either a valid CA teaching credential or 30-day Substitute Teaching Permit, or be willing to obtain a 30-day Substitute Teaching Permit. 1. To obtain a 30-day Substitute Teaching Permit: Official transcripts verifying completion of a Bachelor's Degree from a regionally-accredited college or university CBEST (www.ctcexams.nesinc.com) Live Scan for California Teaching Commission (CTC)
Requirements for Employment Applicants must meet these qualifications:
1. Appropriate Credential/Permit.
2. Complete the Special Circumstance Substitute employment packet online.
3. Tuberculosis Clearance (within last 4 years)
4. Fingerprint Clearance for RUSD through Live Scan.
5. I-9 Employment Eligibility Verification RUSD will provide substitutes with appropriate curriculum and lesson plans.
